Job Title: Head of Paid Social (Meta-Led Growth) @ High-Growth Consumer Brand
Location: London (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 + bonus
A high-growth consumer brand is looking for a Head of Paid Social to become the true Meta expert at the heart of the business, owning acquisition strategy for a channel that has powered the vast majority of their growth to date.
This is a brand-new seat, not a backfill. Growth has historically sat under a generalist remit, but at current scale (circa £1M/month in Meta spend) the business needs a dedicated specialist who lives and breathes the platform, someone who can get into the account, diagnose issues in real time, and go toe-to-toe with their performance agency using evidence rather than simply managing the relationship.
You'll combine deep, hands-on platform expertise with genuine commercial judgement, translating a blended CAC target into day-to-day decisions on account structure, audiences, bidding and measurement. You'll manage a Performance Marketing Manager, partner closely with the creative team, and have real scope to layer in and test additional channels (Google, TikTok, Pinterest) as trust builds, though Meta remains the clear priority for now.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Meta strategy end-to-end: account structure, audiences, optimisation events, bidding and measurement
- Diagnose account issues directly and challenge agency recommendations with evidence, not just weekly check-ins
- Translate a blended CAC target into clear day-to-day direction for internal and agency teams managing significant monthly spend
- Manage and develop a Performance Marketing Manager
- Partner with the creative team on creative strategy, messaging and testing
- Own acquisition measurement, investigating gaps between platform reporting, attribution and true business outcomes
- Evaluate and test additional channels through a clear commercial hypothesis before scaling investment
- Use AI extensively to build and validate your own analyses from advertising, ecommerce and warehouse data
Skills & Experience Required
- Deep, recent, hands-on experience managing substantial Meta budgets for a DTC subscription or repeat-purchase brand, agency-side or client-side
- Proven experience diagnosing and recovering from a Meta performance downturn, not just operating during growth
- Ideally agency-side, mid-level - someone still close to day-to-day execution but ready to bring commercial judgement, rather than a purely stakeholder-facing operator
- Strong grasp of blended CAC, payback and cohort value, and how these should inform channel-level decisions
- Comfortable independently extracting and analysing data across advertising platforms and commercial data sources
- Advanced, everyday use of AI in analytical work, with the ability to validate outputs and own the conclusions
- Experience managing and developing a direct report, and constructively challenging external agency partners
Why Apply?
- Join a high-growth, VC-backed challenger brand at a genuinely pivotal moment
- Become the definitive Meta expert in the business, with real authority and autonomy once trust is established
- Work closely with founders and senior leadership on a channel they consider mission-critical
- Clear scope to expand your remit into new channels as the role and your track record grow
- Be part of a team that's building an AI-first way of working from day one
