Job Title: PPC Manager (Shopping)
Company: Genie Shopping Ltd
Location: Flexible - Distributed with use of Cambridge office and occasional travel
Working Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week with flexible working arrangements
Salary Range: £48,670-£52,727
Who is Genie Shopping?
Genie Shopping is a UK-based, high-growth performance marketing business operating through the affiliate channel and CSS ecosystem. As a certified Google CSS Premium Partner, we work with retail giants like Boots, ebay, Frasers, B&Q, Currys, and Lookfantastic, serving over 57 billion ad impressions to users across our network.
We differentiate ourselves through our managed CSS CPA model and our technical scale. We don’t act as a traditional CSS; we act as a performance partner. Alongside our self-managed SaaS offering, our core revenue comes from our CPA model, which means our success is directly aligned with our clients'. We are a driving force in the industry, leading the conversation through education, sponsorship, and active event contribution. This approach has led to huge success, doubling our growth in 2024 and setting new records in 2025.
We are a certified Great Place to Work with a remote-first setup. Our environment is small (~20 people) but ambitious. We value:
Autonomy: We hire people who want to own their output. If you love solving complex problems and implementing your own ideas, you will thrive here.
Connection: We prioritise culture over geography. We get together for proper team socials every quarter - think punting, cocktail making, and go-karting, to ensure we stay connected as people, not just colleagues.
The team is remotely based, but has fluidity in meeting in-person for client meetings, industry events, strategy days and team socials. There are requirements to travel to Cambridge around once a month, with London (or other UK locations) once a month on average.

This dynamic role offers you the autonomy to experiment with new ideas and philosophies, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in Shopping Ads campaigns. Your key responsibilities will include:
Campaign Management:
- Day-to-day management and optimisation of paid media campaigns, operating within Genie Shopping’s defined frameworks and guardrails.
- Systematically implement new features and processes across accounts as they are introduced.
- Monitor campaign performance, addressing fluctuations and maintaining account health as per Genie Shopping best practice.
- Execute tests within the agreed testing framework, ensuring results are documented and fed back clearly to inform future decisions.
Strategic Contribution:
- Work with wider paid media and product teams to devise systematic solutions for challenges and opportunities.
- Contribute insights and feedback to support the development of GSN’s paid media strategy and roadmap, primarily through structured testing and real-world learnings.
- Continuously explore new opportunities, features, and channels within the performance shopping landscape.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring consistent progress and decision prioritisation.
Reporting and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with partnerships and product teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Work closely with the partnerships team using data and expertise to identify opportunities for account growth.
- Deliver regular reports and presentations for both internal and external use, highlighting key metrics and insights.
Other:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to paid media.
- Identify and attend relevant industry events.
Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- An expert in using Google and Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, and other relevant tools and platforms.
- Understanding of product feed structures and experience with optimising and enriching the data within them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the digital advertising landscape, including emerging trends and best practices.
- A proactive and results-driven approach, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Essential
- Typically 3+ years’ experience in PPC, with strong depth in Shopping Ads
- Experience owning operations or delivering quality across large account portfolios
- Proven ability to prioritise effectively in complex, high-volume environments
- Strong understanding of when to intervene vs when to let systems run
- Comfortable working within existing frameworks and improving them pragmatically
- Ability to oversee performance without relying on constant hands-on optimisation
- Clear, structured communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience in affiliate or CPA-based models with limited tracking signals
- Exposure to environments where scale, consistency, and risk management matter more than bespoke optimisation
- Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, or performance-led retail environments
